LHCAI/HIS: Hospital Infection Control Course

The next course with available places will be held from 19th  - 23rd  February 2007 in the Galbraith Seminar Room, at Colindale.

This course, aimed at infection control doctors and nurses, will be held at the Centre for  Infections, HPA, 61 Colindale Ave, London NW9 5EQ, from Monday, 19th February  – Friday, 23rd  February 2007:  (Monday, 19th 9 a.m. Registration/start,  finishing at 3.30 p.m on Friday, 23rd February 2007.  The course covers epidemiology, bacterial typing and antibiotic resistance, control and management of outbreaks and blood borne viruses, hospital hygiene, ventilation and other aspects of infection control, including policies and guidelines.  The course is recognised for CPD points (Continuing Professional Development) and is a module for the diploma in hospital infection control offered by the Hospital Infection Society, Centre for Infections and London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.  The fee is £500-00 (non-resident).  For further information, registration and an application form, please write to Greta Howell, PA to Prof. Barry Cookson, Laboratory of HealthCare Associated Infection (LHCAI), HPA, Specialist & Reference Microbiology Division, 61 Colindale Avenue, London NW9 5EQ, or
