Event Item

T lymphocyte dynamics in acute and chronic viral infection

The meeting will focus on the adaptive immune response to acute and chronic infections. We aim to bring together scientists and clinicians involved in quantifying the dynamics of T cell responses in acute and chronic viral infections. One of the major themes that we would like to bring to the discussion table is why some infections are cleared from the host while other infections persist, and how can we tip the balance towards clearance or better control of otherwise persistent infection? How important are anti-viral T lymphocyte responses, and what is their contribution to pathogenesis and protection?

A programme will be produced in due course, but thus far, confirmed speakers include: Rustom Antia, Charles Bangham, Sebastian Bonhoeffer, Can Ke?mir, Angela McLean, Avidan Neumann, Annette Oxenius, Alan Perelson, Roland Regoes, Guido Silvestri

Do join us in London for this important meeting! There is also a call for oral and poster abstracts (deadline 1 October) and a conference dinner.
