Susan Bowler

Sue Bowler qualified as an adult registered nurse in September 1996 and has worked as a Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) nurse at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust for 2 ½ years. Sue works as part of the AMS multidisciplinary team. A key element of her role involves engagement and teaching of nursing colleagues and driving organisation-wide quality improvements (QI) to improve the management of infection, antibiotic use and patient care at Nottingham. She is committed to ensuring that AMS is deeply embedded within our nursing culture. Her role has now been made permanent, as a new (and the first!) Antimicrobial Stewardship & Microbiology Nurse Specialist for the Trust, allowing this exciting journey to continue!
