Current status

GENOTIPE is being established as a Special Interest Group within the Healthcare Infection Society, building on a national network launched and a multidisciplinary stakeholder meeting in 2025. This work has brought together clinical, academic, public health, and industry leaders from across the UK, with strong consensus on the need for coordinated approaches to implementing genomics in infection prevention and control. The SIG is now entering a formative phase, with a unique opportunity to shape its priorities, activities, and outputs.
