SPARC Meeting III

Following the success of the first two meetings, we are pleased to be able to share the proposal for the group’s next steps:

  • The third introductory meeting will be held online on Friday 19 September 11:00 to 15:00.
  • Please click here to register for the event. All SPARC members are welcome to attend, regardless of whether you were able to attend the first two meetings.
  • A consortium statement is being written which summarises the data and discussions about AMR in water and wastewater described in the first two meetings. This will briefly outline the current knowledge and research gaps. It is hoped that this statement will be published in the Autumn 2025 once agreed by SPARC members at the next HIS council. You can view the draft HIS SPARC consortium statement here.
  • The SPARC special interest group Terms of Reference can be found via the link at the bottom of the webpage.
We are also seeking

International experience

Experiences from our international members: we are proud of the global membership of SPARC, and would like to ensure we report on all experiences of wastewater and AMR. If you are located outside the UK and Ireland and have AMR water experiences to share, please do volunteer 5-10 minutes of your time to share this with the group during the meeting

Updates on what’s happening in the field

Are you starting a new project, or want to update on progress with your work – let colleagues know what is happening in the field so we can avoid duplication and build on each other’s success. Please consider sending us a slide so this can be presented to the group.

Please email admin@his.org.uk with your experiences and updates and the team will work with you to coordinate this.
