Do you have expertise in infection prevention and control (IPC) and a passion for sharing your knowledge?

We’re looking for engaging, knowledgeable speakers to contribute to our IPC education Programme (including IPC Training Days, training courses on focused topics, webinars and our Annual Conference). We support professionals across a wide range of healthcare and IPC roles. Whether you work in clinical practice, public health, research, estates & facilities, or leadership, we welcome your voice at HIS.

Our education programme covers a broad spectrum of IPC topics, including but not limited to:

  • Reducing harm to patients and improving quality of care
  • Public health aspects of IPC
  • Environmental aspects of IPC (decontamination, water safety and ventilation)
  • IPC in critical care (adult and paediatric)
  • IPC in non-acute and specialised settings
  • Antimicrobial resistance and stewardship
  • Behaviour change, quality improvement and leadership
  • AI, whole genome sequencing and metagenomics
  • Data monitoring and surveillance

We also run the IPC Leaders’ Development Programme, which supports those in senior IPC roles to navigate challenges, influence change, and lead effectively across systems. You can view examples of past programme topics on our IPC Leaders’ page.

If you have a case study, project, or perspective that aligns with any of these themes and if you’re keen to contribute to the development of IPC professionals, we’d love to hear from you.

Submissions that align with particular themes may also be considered for inclusion in our flagship Annual Conference (HISCON).

Let’s work together to improve IPC education, empower professionals, and strengthen infection prevention across the healthcare sector.
