Dr Eimear Brannigan

Dr Eimear Brannigan is a consultant in infectious diseases and general internal medicine, and Deputy Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Imperial College NHS Trust. She is the lead infection clinician on emergency preparedness for novel and emerging infection risks, investigation and management of patients. She has led on the management of a large multi-site Trust outbreak of CPE, and continues to inform Trust and regional responses to these organisms. She leads on clinical strategy for healthcare associated infections and jointly leads the Trust C difficile review group. She has published collaborative research on aspects of antibiotic stewardship and healthcare associated infection epidemiology, with particular focus on multidrug resistant organisms.
