Dr Evonne T Curran NursD

I have used Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts since November 1999. I do not understand how you can do infection prevention and control (IPC) without them. Despite an RCT on their use, other publications and many presentations, their use in IPC is still rare. So, in my year of retirement – you are my penultimate opportunity.

I am going to make SPCs seem indispensable and easy. The key point is this: it’s not just about producing the charts, it’s about communicating the intelligence from them and motivating people to act.

And falling fling to the host behind – “Play up, play up and play the game.”
