Ian Gray MBE, FCIEH, CEnvH

Ian Gray is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and Co director of the Environmental Health Collaborating Centre UK. He is an expert advisor to NICE and a consultant to WHO.
Previously Ian was the Principal Policy Officer at the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and, as the lead officer on public health and health protection, he provided evidence to the Keogh ‘Review of the Regulation of Cosmetic Interventions.’ He was a member of the Health Education England expert advisory group carrying out the ‘Review of qualifications required for delivery of nonsurgical cosmetic interventions’ and he is a member of the Stakeholders Council of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).
Ian’s career in environmental health spans some 50 years and in 2006 the CIEH awarded him Fellowship by Election. In 2007 he received the President’s Award from the Royal Society for Public Health for excellence in professional practice and in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, 2009, he was awarded the MBE for his services to public health.
