About the webinar
Join the Healthcare Infection Society for this lunchtime webinar exploring "MRSA – The enduring foe".
MRSA has been with us for six decades now, and during that time our understanding of MRSA has expanded significantly. But there’s always more to learn! The Healthcare Infection Society have recently published a new special issue across the Journal of Hospital Infection and Infection Prevention in Practice called “MRSA: The enduring foe”.
Based on this special issue, this IPC Journal Club in partnership with the Healthcare Infection Society, chaired by Dr Manjula Meda who is the chair of the Healthcare Infection Society, will feature two papers from this special issue. The first paper, led by Dr Jon Otter, will discuss some of the challenges and solutions related to delivering a programme of IPC and AMS in resource-limited settings. The second paper, led by Dr Phil Norville, will discuss the potential use of cold atmospheric plasma as an alternative decontaminant. There will be Q&A from the audience convened by Dr Meda, so please try to read the papers in advance , and come with your questions! We hope that you are able to join us.
This Journal Club is hosted by IPC Partners in partnership with the Healthcare Infection Society. IPC Partners is a collaborative of experts providing independent IPC advice to healthcare providers and corporate partners. The Healthcare Infection Society represents a broad membership of experts in the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections, and aims to advance knowledge, foster scientific interest and share information about the field.
