MACE Consult Health CPD Network with BEIPI

The built environment is a clinical safety system.

Water and wastewater systems, ventilation, drainage, materials, maintenance access and clinical workflows can all create or reduce infection risk —healthcare buildings are not neutral backdrops to care.

BEIPI, the Healthcare Infection Society’s Built Environment Infection Prevention Initiative, brings infection prevention, estates, design, engineering and clinical teams together, from earliest design through to day-to-day operation. This session sets out practical ways to influence safer hospital design and operational resilience.
