FIS Webinar: Beyond Training - Building Your Career Through Infection Societies

HIS is delighted to be bring you the second webinar in the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) webinar series, which covers key workforce themes for members of the infection community throughout the UK.

As part of the FIS Workforce Webinar Series, this webinar will showcase the wide range of opportunities offered by infection societies to professionals in the early stages of their careers.

Designed primarily for doctors in training, nurses, pharmacists and scientists working in Infection-  the session will explore how involvement in professional societies can complement formal training through fellowships, trainee representative roles, leadership programmes, committee membership, networking opportunities and educational activities. Attendees will gain practical insights into how these experiences can develop leadership and communication skills, build national and international networks, strengthen CVs, and create opportunities in research, education and service development.

The webinar will also be of interest to educational supervisors, training programme directors and other trainers, providing an overview of the opportunities available across infection societies so they can better support, mentor and signpost trainees towards activities that enhance their professional development beyond the training programme.

Speakers who have benefited from these opportunities will share their personal experiences, offering practical advice on how to get involved and make the most of the opportunities available.

The webinar will conclude with a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
