Dr Surabhi Taori

Dr Surabhi Taori is a Consultant in medical microbiology at NHS Lothian and has been working in the field of infection management for over 2 decades. She is passionate about medical education and dedicated to improving the training experience for future infection specialists.

Surabhi is the Chair of Federation Societies Conference 2026 and Chair of the HIS Professional Development Committee.

Dr Sinéad Creedon, Lecturer, University College Cork

Sinéad Creedon is a Lecturer and PhD Scholar in the School of Public Health, University College Cork, and Academic Programme Director of the Postgraduate Certificate in Infection Prevention & Control. Her research focuses on IPC leadership, burnout, resilience, workforce wellbeing, and behaviour change in healthcare. Her PhD research investigates the prevalence, predictors, and impact of burnout among infection prevention and control practitioners during and since the COVID-19 pandemic, with a particular focus on identifying evidence-based approaches to support resilience, wellbeing, and workforce sustainability.

Dr Judith Johnson, Reader, University of Manchester

Judith Johnson is a Reader in the School of Health Sciences at The University of Manchester and Director of Manchester Catalys, a clinical academic partnership held jointly with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. She leads a partnership-wide programme building research capacity among non-medical healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists and healthcare scientists.

Her research drives change across three areas: healthcare professional wellbeing and patient safety, proactive psychological interventions that prevent burnout, and clinical communication in obstetric ultrasound. She established the ASCKS framework and CCS intervention, which have shaped professional guidance from the British Medical Ultrasound Society and the Society of Radiographers and were cited in the Department of Health and Social Care's 2023 Independent Pregnancy Loss Review.

Dr Johnson translates research directly into practice and policy. She has built an international teaching presence, including a widely used online channel delivering cognitive behavioural therapy resources, and her Resilience Appraisals Scale is used internationally across multiple languages.
